The members of Ji-Li's family are Ji-Yong as the younger brother (11years old), p14, Ji-Yun (10 year old), Song Po-Po (the nanny/housekeeper), p14-15, mom and dad, Grandmother, (who used to be the principal), p14, Aunt and cousin, (they live downstairs and the cousin is You-Mei, p15, a cat called "little White", p17. Ji-Li's life at school: Ji-Li was expected to succeed in everything, She was able to excell(pg.1). They were acussing her and her best friends for spreading the "four olds" (pg34-36). Ji-Li scored a perfect score on a math test(pg.3)

What special honor is she choosen for?: The central liberation army arts academy choose Ji-Li for their dance troop (pg.6).

A xenophile is someone who likes any thing foreighn.(pg285)It is bad to be a xenophile because it it was told by chairman Mao said not to be foreighn and also this behaviour was cosidred disloyal.(pg285)

5-What is a da-zi-bao? What are being done with them? Who is Jiang Xi wen? Why does Ji-li hand a da-zi-bao on her house?

Answer-Da-zi-bao - Da-zi-baois a form of a propaganda in the shape of a large handwritten poster presenting an important issue.(Glossary-p.276) Da-zi-baos are getting used to attack and humiliate people. Jiang Xi-wen is Ji-Li's aunt.Ji-li hung a da-zi bao on her house because she was being a xenophile.

6-Why does Ji-li stop going to school for a while? She was accused of being a what?

Answer- Ji -li stopped going to school for a while because she was humiliated by one of her class mate Du Hai who said that she had a landlord grandfather and a rightist father.(pg 58). A landlord is a person that exploited the farmers and a rightist is a person thatis a reationary intellectual who attacked the party socilaism. Both of these were the worst class staus and they were considred bad. (pg 58)

8-What did Ji-li grandfather(her dad's father)do for a living? How does this affect Ji-li life?

Answer-As Ji-li was talking to her grandmother(pg59- 60) she figured out that her grandfather was a landlord. This affected her life by her status/rank and because she could not join the"Red Guard"because of her status
